Award recipients best demonstrate commitment to corporate values.

DALLAS, PA. (August 20, 2012) – Metz Culinary Management, a leading provider of dining management services, recognized employees who best display company values during its annual Summer Leadership Conference held at The Penn Stater Conference Center in State College, Pa. The two-day event also served as a learning opportunity for Metz employees through guest speakers and individual division breakout sessions.

“We emphasize hospitality, fun, integrity and fairness, respect and caring, and quality and balance when interacting with co-workers, customers and vendors,” said Jeffery Metz, president and CEO of Metz Culinary Management. “While we are proud of all our employees, the efforts of our award recipients best demonstrate commitment to Metz values. Our annual conference is the perfect event to recognize their efforts in front of their peers.”

Metz employee award recipients include: Bill Allman, GM of the Year, Lebanon Valley College; Jim Dickson, CEO Award, Senior VP of Education and Corporate Dining; Joe Landolina, VP Award Healthcare and Ken Bush, VP Award Environmental Services, Butler Hospital; Altoona Area School District team, VP Award for School Services and Cavin Sullivan, VP Award for corporate dining, J.M. Smucker’s Foodservice.

Key guest speakers at the conference included Nancy Kruse, President of The Kruse Company, author of the Kruse Report, guest lecturer at the Culinary Institute of America and menu trends analyst, and Waldo Waldman, a motivational keynote speaker, leadership consultant and former decorated fighter pilot. Kruse discussed how Metz can capitalize on industry trends while Waldman focused on the importance of trust, teamwork and values to a successful organization.

Additional educational opportunities were made available during industry breakout sessions. At these sessions, employees in healthcare, school services, higher education and environmental divisions took part in interactive seminars on all facets of the service industry.
